CPH Living Review
Denmark's first floating hotel, moored at Langebrogade 1A — a German-built barge rebuilt and opened in 2009.
Best for
A second visitCouplesTravellers who want water rather than streets outside the window
Why it stands out
That it floats. Every other stay on this list has a street outside it and this one has the harbour, which is the thing Christianshavn is actually about.
Main trade-off
The area scores 7.8 for transport, the lowest in the city, and the metro does not reach Refshaleøen at all. In summer the harbour ferry covers it; in February it is a bus.
Why we recommend it
Best on the water
Our pick for Christianshavn because it is not on the land at all: a barge moored at Langebrogade, on the Christianshavn bank with the old city across the harbour from the deck.
