Where to stay in De Pijp

De Pijp is the city's Latin Quarter, a haunt of creatives, students and bohemians since the 1960s and now one of the best places in Amsterdam to eat. The Albert Cuypmarkt runs through the middle of it, Sarphatipark provides the green, and Van Woustraat and Ceintuurbaan carry a mix of cuisines and café terraces. You trade the canal-house setting and the major museums for a neighbourhood that is lived in rather than visited.
